a Cabin for Watou

bronze
300x400x490cm
Built on the same scale of Henri David Thoreaux cabin in which he lived and wrote his book 'Walden' from 1845 until 1847.
DeSmet collected branches in the surroundings of the nearby village of Watou (B) which he then casted in bronze. The sculpture invites the passers-by for contemplation and meditation in the periphery of society.
